I hate leaving bad reviews unless the service was awful. The lady running the place was nice to me. The restaurant was dirty and dingy, there was nobody sitting down, and there were literal pyramids of eggrolls on the countertop in the kitchen, just sitting out waiting for someone to order one, which seems unsanitary to me. The food was so flavorless. I got beef & broccoli. The rice tasted like nothing. The beef felt mealy like an old apple and had little flavor of its own. The broccoli was ok, a bit overcooked. The sauce was definitely from a premade bottle. I'm just in town for the weekend and this left me incredibly disappointed.
I hate to leave bad reviews, but I just can't help it. This restaurant was not clean at all and had I not already paid I would have left after I sat down at my table and looked around. I'm sorry to say, but the food was really, really bad.i paid $16 ++ for General Tso chicken and some noodles covered in sauce. The lady was very nice but im sorry I won't be back.
My stomach still hurts several hours after eating here. While we waited for our food we kept hearing a microwave. Looked back and they were heating up food in it instead of making fresh. We ended up throwing most of our food in the trash. Place is very run down. Bathroom also serves as a storage room for water damaged ceiling tiles, broken glass and old floor tiles. It’s pretty disgusting place. Not sure how it passes health inspections.
A standard American Chinese restaurant, straight from central casting. Reliable food, relatively cheap for the portions you get, nothing fancy, all the usual food options.
Food was made to order. Very tasty. Place is a little run down. Ceiling has visible water leak damage. Floor could use a good mopping. Lady that took my order was nice and knowledgeable about the food dishes when I asked.
While I was visiting Virginia Tech Campus. Wanted some Chinese and landed here. I’m Originally from New Jersey where Chinese food is like a staple. Growing up around it all my life pretty much and know good and bad places. A staple meal for me is ChickenWings&PorkFriedRice w/ French Fries. Which they didn’t have French fries or cook with bean sprouts which threw me for a loop . Overall the food was definitely solid.
Double Dragon isn't your average sit-down restaurant. They don't have servers, so you just order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. I'm a second generation Chinese-American and my Chinese isn't quite at the level of native speakers. I still always try to speak Chinese whenever I'm at a Chinese restaurant. However, I felt ridiculed by the lady running the cash register - who went out of her way to mention how poor my Chinese is. I brushed that off and still ordered my food. My friend and I ate-in, and there weren't any other people at the restaurant. The food was average. I found the dumplings to be very ordinary and quite small. I wish that I had better words to say, but I overall didn't have a good time here and won't be back. Dumplings, Chinese "donuts", beef stir fry
Have ordered food for takeout pretty often from here and eaten in a few times. It's a little expensive, but you do get a large portion of food. All my orders have been correct, and I never really have had any issues.
